Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Buyer/Planner to support material planning, purchasing activities, and inventory management. This role is responsible for ensuring materials and components are available to meet production schedules and customer requirements while maintaining cost-effective purchasing practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase materials based on forecasts, customer demand, and MRP requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing activities to support production schedules.
• Create, revise, and manage purchase orders.
• Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, delivery dates, and material availability.
• Expedite or reschedule orders as needed.
• Resolve supplier issues including shortages, delays, quality concerns, and shipment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate data within the ERP/MRP system, including pricing, lead times, and order status.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, freight terms, and supplier agreements.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Quality, Sales, and Finance teams to support business objectives.
• Assist with cost analysis, standard costing updates, and landed cost reviews.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of purchasing, planning, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Experience with MRP and inventory management processes.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to analyze demand, inventory, and cost data.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP/MRP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, electronics, OEM, contract manufacturing, or gaming industries.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, supplier agreements, and landed cost calculations.
